I mean it’s right at or below 50% of capacity, I do wonder if that’s enough to break even much less turn a profit.

I’d agree that it definitely sucks for the Liberty and their fans but I’m not sure how it’s sexist- no NBA team draws worse than 75% of Arena capacity (just over 14k of 21k for the Atlanta Hawks), the Liberty average just below 50% of MSG’s capacity- I don’t think a 5,000 seat area is big enough but clearly a 20,000

Is “separate but equal” really an appropriate metaphor for arena disparities?

Barclays will not be a whole lot less busy. They want the Islanders out cause they have more profitable alternatives. And no way Dolan can send the Liberty to Barclays anyway - a rival NBA team owns and runs the place.

Are penalties considered cheating though? It seems like the ref botched the call, but I feel like it is fairly acceptable to commit non-violent penalties to try and stop an imminent scoring situation. Sort of like intentional fouls in basketball.

I initially read this as “penis”

Money laundering, wire fraud, tax evasion, things like that. The entire system is a conspiracy to commit tax evasion, but the ringleader of the racket is the NCAA which prevents players from claiming their income legally.

Winning by a foot is not a tie

Math apparently vexes you.

wait so, what was he supposed to do? like after the lawsuit was settled was he just supposed to stop snowboarding forever and go live in a cabin in the woods or

That’s called the Olympic Channel.

Technically, luge is more dangerous than skeleton. It’s considered the safer of the three slide sports because the sled’s steering mechanism is more precise and your center of gravity is lower. Additionally, many athletes have mentioned it’s easier to get away from your sled from that position (like if you have to

I think she was just volunteering to give up her seat, before she rolled on out of there.

She really dropped the ball by not yelling out “Later Gator!” as she walked off.

Nobody got to the ball first. You can tell this, because there is no ball in any of these videos.

The “pullback” you’re seeing his his leg ricocheting off of the back of Lamela’s.

You sure about that? Ferkrisake, you can see his knee buckle when he kicks him, plenty of other views show the same

That’s a called penalty 9 out of 10 times. If Van Djik keeps better control of the ball then Lamela wouldn’t have been able to gain position. Pity that Kane didn’t convert the first but a point taken at Anfield is just dandy.

Nailed it. I grow so weary of those who say (things like) “he didn’t do it intentionally.” All that shows is ignorance of the Laws of the Game.

Stonewall pen. Van Dijk fucking kicked the guy!
