F.D., thank you for bringing up the same point I did in my comment. Hardly anyone mentions that Greedo threatened Han. He was clearly working himself up to pull the trigger. To my mind, Han was perfectly justified in firing first. (If Greedo was too stupid to just shut up and shoot Han already, that’s something else.)

True, but the fact that they’re spending upwards of $70 million on this thing — after saying initially that it would only cost an extra $20-$30 million to complete — seems to suggest that they think they have a winner on their hands. If people didn’t have the patience to sit through a mediocre two-hour film, WB would have to be insane to think they’d go to theaters for a four cut of the film they didn’t go see the first time. HBO Max is absolutely the only future for this thing.

The Boys’ second season finale initially makes you assume that, with Lamplighter in their grasp, the Boys and Mallory only need to bide their time until the Congressional hearing where they can finally expose Vought.

Nah. They kick the shit of a nazi in the season finale. That was extremely cathartic to watch.

They made her an AOC-type because they knew that that would endear her to viewers (at least a lot of them) - they’d see her as exactly the one who can bring Vought down, the hero working within the system, counterpoint to Butcher and the Boys working outside of the system. Doing that makes her heel-turn at the end…

But like, those were people who actively attacked her (fairly directly one way or another). Her burning Cersie was understandable, going scorched earth on the citizens was not.
