Good question - we currently have a four wheel drive VW van which is like the apocalypse beater.. Those kids are going to school whether it’s monsoon or an arctic winter. Land Rover have some saucy stuff coming out soon and Jeep too with the Wrangler so there’s plenty to choose from right now, plus the new Jaguar

1. Darth Vader

TVR - i always felt that the designer hated people who bought them because the handling was so evil..

At first it was easy - i just didn’t tell anyone. Then we had to start telling car makers and insurance companies and it starts to snowball. Then you have to start making cover stories and eventually you’re not anonymous anymore!

about 4 warm ups if i was lucky - maybe 8 in total. With the Bugatti they wanted it in 4 because the tyres were $25,000 a set or something..

Dream car.. Ferrari P4 - hear the engine once and you’ll know why, and its fast and its a stunning piece of art to look at

They were very friendly yes - all good things come to an end

I’ve arrived in the Isle of Mann on a baggage conveyor and toured London using the underground - i loved those parts the most during my time and i’m glad to say it was nearly always me for the 8 years i spent as The Stig - we all felt that it was important to have ONE Stig back in those days

yes - they wanted to parachute me out of an airplane inside a car but without a parachute

Oh it’s like that now is it.. showing the world that i can trash a perfectly good supercar eh?

Hello Texas

the wheels fell off a lot with the reasonably priced car .. fortunately the grinding metal of brake disc on tarmac did a pretty good job of slowing the car down, plus we had 70 acres of green grass for the cars to run into before they hit anything solid like a tree.

A little hate goes a long way to an entertaining TV format - let’s see some! Keep them on their toes and up to mischief i say

1. Clarkson - because he refused to drive it!

I have no idea but it’s not long now until we will find out. What do you think>? The fact is that this is a completely new show and the hard part will be that people will naturally expect Top Gear to carry the past with it somehow.. I think the cars will be awesome as always and they have a great production team there

I’m still looking for the ultimate ride - wow, i sound like Bodhi from Point Break... but it’s hard to top the Batmobile because it had a missile launcher and from a purely selfish perspective you could eat your lunch between takes on the film set without anyone noticing.. The Aston DBS was special though and anything

Never been afraid racing but that’s possibly down to a lack of imagination / extreme focus. Filming is different and you have a lot of rehearsals to make sure that anything that worries you gets sorted before the metal starts flying around.. which is a good thing

the helmet was honey and lemon fresh.. the same can’t be said for the overalls.. after a hot summers day we left them in a plastic bag overnight and they smelled like a poisonous mushroom. After a few washes they were still toxic so thats when i upgraded to Alpinestars!
