No. Do you trust all lawyer’s statements on behalf of their client blindly? Because I don’t trust anything blindly, but I trust an investigative process a lot more than I trust a biased statement. Do I have that flipped?
Ummm...there is a huge gulf between what you are saying and “beyond a reasonable doubt.” There was more than an accusation in this case. This was actually investigated by the university.
The university did an independent investigation after Title IX found a need to file the complaint. Nobody even heard about this until after he was expelled. So she had no motivation of money or fame (we don’t even know her name, right?). So what more would you need?
Well, beyond the fact you’re taking a biased statement with zero grains of salt, it doesn’t have to be beyond a reasonable doubt. He’a not going to jail. He could get expelled for academic dishonesty under the same standard.
“Go for the low probability offensive rebound and ruin your chances of defending the inevitable fast break the other way!
Old school!”
God, fuck old white men.
Poor fundamentals! Curry will never make it anywhere with this playing style.
Well, “You killed Jesus” is HISTORICALLY anti-Semitic. That is it has been used to justify all kinds of pogroms and atrocities in the past. It would be interesting to discuss when a historically racist remark loses it’s hate-speech association.
“Sausage fest” is homophobic? I thought it was what you labelled parties that had all men and no women and were therefore not worth the time. The implication would be that the party goers, the owners of the aforementioned sausages, were heterosexual because the lack of women is a bad thing. A gay sausage fest would be…
Amen.
Buzzer was early (or it could be an audio delay from the video encoding) but if you look at the clock in the last angle...it’s about three feet from his arms with 0.1 left. I definitely thought it was late, too.
They don't get paid to kiss your ass and sign everything you shove in their face. They play baseball. That's it. Just delete his number, pal. He's ghosting you.
“He’s one of the least pleasant people who has ever played the game.”
The quote explains away my immediate impression from the title, it isn’t 10 days of no sleep = 10 days of 6 hours, 10 whole days of 6 hours got you only to the point of 2 days with no sleep.
Because he’s the best hitter who ever lived and the idea of him imparting his knowledge to a new generation of players is a wonderful thing.
Reached for comment, Manziel says he looks forward to smoking and possibly injecting the blackball.
(*reads headline*) Maybe Evans means that teams shouldn’t sign Manziel out of compassion and concern, so that he can focus all of his energy on getting the help he so desperately needs.
What? That’s not what I’m saying at all. But whatever, you do you.
Yeah, I agree, there’s the distinct tone of a dog whistle in all of this.
No doubt it’s reaction to the “Latin flair” or “jive” that PoC have purportedly approached life (and, by extension, sports) with—as opposed to WASP stiff upper lip bullshit—since the beginning of time.
