I actually have a sneaking suspicion that the headlights had this on prior to me owning it, since there has been flakes of what looks like a clear plastic film that have come off from the head lights.

I’ve had to do this, several times to my PT. Longest its ever lasted was about 2 months, even when I put Turtle Wax F21 on the lights (which is supposed to protect against UV). Any suggestions for something other than F21 for UV protection?

Won’t lie, that is kinda awesome. Nothing better than a car that doesn’t look like much taking down much faster looking cars.

Maybe I’m not the right target audience for this vehicle. But its a CP from me.

They seriously turn the instrument lights on with the DTLs now? That’s a fucking terrible terrible idea.

“Funny you say I owe that much, because the fee for calling me and attempting to get money from me despite the signed contract is exactly the amount you just said”

Dashboards shouldn’t be illuminated with the lights off, only on (like my 2001 Toyota Camry).

That is extremely niche there, guess no one there buys GM’s then. Does turning on the parking lights turn off the DRL’s?

How modern of a car have you driven? Almost all brand new cars light up the dashboard when they are running. So at night you can see the dash with the lights off.

Not enough power.

The other idea I had was to create a multi-car racing team for Lemons with them.

Yes, but DRL’s are only really effective in one direction. If a car is coming at you, you’ll see it. If its dark, or foggy, and you’re coming up from behind a car, you won’t see it. My problem is they create an issue that shouldn’t have existed in the first place. Turn on the tail lights with the DRL’s, its that

3.5 EB would be insane in a Festiva.

So you could pretty much start your own spec racing series for Ford Festiva’s for just under $1000.

Then why not just have headlights on? Then your tail lights are on as well, I’ve seen WAY too many people driving with just DRLs on at night. That’s real fun when you’re on a bit of freeway that’s in the country (and therefore not lit up).

What’s wrong with DRLs? They don’t turn on a single tail light and there is people out there that can’t distinguish between their DRLs being on, and their headlights being on. Meaning that at night there are people driving around with no tail lights on. I wouldn’t hate them at all if they turned on at least a tail

Why would you want to have your DRL’s on? They don’t turn on any tail lights, so if you don’t turn your lights on at night, you have no tail lights on at all, and from the driver’s point of view, the headlights appear to be on (sometimes, trust me I’ve seen this with other cars on the road at night).

If you read, its not the switches themselves that person hates. It’s the people running around at night with DRL’s / rain lights on at night.

If its speed you want with your steam, then it is a Stanley you need.

There’s at least two US forums for PT Cruisers, I know this because I own one. I’ve only found one Fiesta forum so far though.
