I’d say the small block Chevy was just as important in the birth of hot rodding as the flathead. Sure, the flathead was the progenitor, but there was a reason most hot rodders dropped it for the SBC and other OHV V8s like the Olds Rocket, even in Ford’s own models.

I feel dirty for showing anything resembling support for EA, but I hope they bring back the MVP series someday.

Had a ‘94 with the 2.2 and 5 speed as my first car. Thing was a cockroach. It was finally killed when my cousin wrecked it. It was still running strong at about 250k miles. I really missed it when gas was around $4/gal.
