When programming, there are diminishing returns in working longer days. My brain is usually fried after 8 hours.
No, compound interest compounding increment is not the significant part. Additional fees and such, sure, but not the fact that it is compounded daily.
Not really. A $100 balance carried for 1 year at 3% APY compounded once per year is $103.00. Compounded daily is $103.05.
You know how they say it is a "buyer's market" when talking about housing?
Someone who is paying that high of a premium for TV ads will not have your best interest in mind. There is not a lot of money to be had in coaching people with debt
One additional comment on the statement:
My general policy is to leave at 5 unless the lack of my work is holding up the entire process or I have a deadline to meet. I definitely don't work less than 40 hrs a week.
You need "break" tasks that are mindless but do not spiral out of control.

Its one of those things that works in theory but not in reality. Which hurts more? To be deprived of money that you ultimately get back as an unbudgeted lump sum, or to have a (usually huge) surprise expense all at once.
Tax refund? Tax refund? Having a self-employed spouse will keep you from ever having a tax refund!
My concern would be that the DC power supply providing the 5VDC you need for USB would be humming along 24-7 rather than only when you need it. Could be a power drain
