A few reasons.

Maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds and it’s only forty minutes each way.

If he’s commuting between three different tracks out in the countryside, he’s not dealing with traffic.

and also why it’s important to remember that ‘CLEAN CARFAX’ isn’t a selling point if people agreed to fix the damage themselves.

I’d take the job of driving 200 mikes a day in a Murcielago to inspect race tracks in England.

I wondered too!

I was honestly wondering what would become of the DougCar after it finished it’s yearlong deployment. It’s almost like it’s staying in the family!

Soon.

I’ve been back to visit family, and recruiting at UT, so I have an idea. I took my family to the Broken Spoke a few years back and was glad to see it was still there. I’ve seen the horror that is Ben White Blvd., and the new money out on the lake.

Well the good news is, after Brexit, the years you lost over there aren’t worth as much in the US.

Yeeeeeeeeah let’s not. That’s a whole other article itself.

I used to rent a house in Tarrytown and I moved out like a week before the MoPac project started. I drove down that central stretch last week for the first time in 2+ years, and I have no regrets about leaving what was otherwise an awesome house.

I haven’t lived in Austin since 1985, and I can barely believe this :)

CANNOT UNSEE!

That’s the thing though. Texas is fine with paying for roads. We were fine then, too. We’ve always spent lots of money on roads. Perry forced the toll roads. Nobody liked it, not even the ledge. But Cintra payed Perry enough, and he used his executive oversight of TexDOT to force it through.

Austin infrastructure is a hot mess, period. The whole “biggest little city” completely screwed up the city planning.

MoPac is a hot mess. One goofy toll lane ain’t gonna solve squat.

Abbot makes Perry look like an elder statesman. You could have a dead horse run for governor as a Republican and it would win.

Wanna talk about MoPac? :/

I would argue that $2-3,000 is simply the floor for a clean, well-running car in 2016. And an old Honda will always end up at the higher end of the used car range for its age/mileage.
