I've never heard of this "Speccy". I've been using CPU-Z for years on desktop!

I couldn't find any official sources, but if you google it you find tons of tech sites and people talking about workarounds to force real 1080. It's really not something that SONY wants to advertise. Most consumers wouldn't understand the concept of upscaling and would walk away thinking It only does 720p...

Yes, actually. The game renders 720 pixels tall, then proportionally cuts it into 1080 pixels.

Haha, I've tried telling them that their games are 720p and they're like "Nah, brah, this is a 1080p TV." -____- But the term native hasn't really been clearly defined in a public scope. I think they would try and say that since there's 4k being fed into the TV that it's native.

Its entirely possible. Both Nvidia and AMD's latest architectures will support 4k with software updates. It's entirely possible that ps4 and xbone could do 4k, though most likely just upscaled 1080p or only video playback.

God, I love lifehacker.

"You know this means we're divorced, right?"

Just to clarify, he is being rendered by the playstation as it's happening. It's to boast the power of the ps4. The phrase "in real time" is to say that this is the quality that the playstation can provide during gameplay, as opposed to scenes rendered by a computer before hand (which tend to look better than

Here's an idea. If it runs like balls, stop running the highest res mod packs you can find. HERP.

On top of the GoW-clonieness and the excessive QTE's, the game updates you ever three seconds on what you have to do. Flashing buttons to kill current enemy. Flashing buttons to guard from arrows. Flashing messages to pound in the objective. I'd rather watch a movie and tap buttons on a controller, pretending that I'm

"u have no idea how much processing power the game actually needs"

that's a false statement. they just wont be having a headlining show.

if you have a 4GB xbox and install minecraft, you don't have enough storage to even make a second user account.

Totally thought it was a farting stick figure.

The question had been posed to League of Legends and Starcraft II. Both decided it would give too much of an advantage to the players that could afford it. Starcraft does support multi-monitor resolutions, but will not expand the viewport. As much as I wish they would do it, it makes sense.

Oh, well then that narrows it down, yes. A lot of games that run in a windowed mode can just be resized and scaled as such.

For most other games though, it's a matter of driver functionality. My games don't know I have three monitors, they think I have one giant one. If nVidia put out a driver that would let me
