You’d need to trade usernames with people if it wasn’t a Nintendo app. If they make the app, it can sync with the game.

The point of it is to take processor drain away from the system. If you do it by (essentially) a Nintendo branded Skype call, it saves the Switch the effort.

You don’t need the dock to charge it. You can charge it with any USB cable. You only need a second dock if you want to connect to a second TV.

That’s a feature, not a bug. That means the console’s limited processing power doesn’t have to worry about a two way audio chain, your phone/tablet can do it.
