Well the LC500 was still early in its development when Randy took it to the track and all Lexus really need was genuine feedback to improve their car instead of paying them to give compliments. When the price is increased, the car company in question will keep the extra price charged. For example the $10,000 increase in price for the Polo GTi means VW now earns $10,000 more for each Polo GTi they sell. But of course VW hardly benefit from this as nobody will now buy a Polo GTi for an extra $10,000.

Im from Malaysia and yes we do have the C6, however it is very rare to see one on the road as their resale value is really really bad but unique car nonetheless, and I respect one of my neighbors for buying one new.
