I cared more about John C. Reilly's random cop character than … well, I haven't seen Suicide Squad because I heard how bad it was, but I'd probably care more about him than anyone in Suicide Squad.

I've never called or thought of it as anything other than Tool Time.

Sometimes, when women or minorities complain about the way they're passed over for jobs that go to men and whites, certain people try to claim that no such discrimination exists (and that the only reason these groups are passed over for jobs is because they're generally not as good as whites and men) because

I dislike many things about Snyder's Watchmen, but the fact that the film included completely unsexualized full-frontal male nudity (even if it was only CGI) which nobody wanted and absolutely nobody enjoyed is not one of them.

"thanks to the impatient ADD crowd, it's a dying art- like most things this generation, it seems"

Ironically, all of the comments thus far are openly positive.

I still think Into Darkness is quite a good movie, but if they'd just avoided a few of the missteps they made, we'd have had a genuinely good movie (and a genuinely good Trek movie) on our hands.

It was an excellent and sublime piece of abstract filmmaking, but I'm not sure it was really appropriate for children.

With the exception of the "Times They Are A Changin'" montage. That was phenomenal. The rest of the film didn't live up to that.

It has long been my belief that "Watchmen" should have been directed by Scorsese in the vein of "Goodfellas."

My dad is quite fond of Lady in the Water, and was very excited to try to get me to watch it.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation.

I thought this video was going to be one of those weird "pop song parodies but instead of a parody the lyrics are changed to have a Christian message" versions of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust," but no, it's this insane gem which I, like resting abyssface, encountered years ago while flipping channels.

Interesting. So, basically the opposite of a lot of fundamentalist sects, except for the belief that "we're right and all the other pathetic excuses for "Christians" are wrong."

" … someone to hear your prayers; someone who cares …"

That's a very good observation.

A fair point. Also, most "reds" would say that being "liberal" is a bad thing (but that's mostly just because leftists use the academic definition of the word which is essentially the opposite of its regularly accepted definition).

See, you did it again. You folks have a real knack for this.

Alexis wasn't just a trans woman, she was actually more genderfluid, identifying as either a man or a woman (or perhaps neither; I'm not sure) in different situations.
