I love the fact that not only the director's stint in prison for making secret illegal campaign donations is included as part of the plot of this movie, but the fact that he got convicted of a felony is meant to make him look like a persecuted hero.

Oh, it's better than that. They incorporate the fact the he went to jail into the plot of this film, and they use it to try to make him look like the good guy in this.

Yeah, I always give people a pass on making personal attacks on someone's looks if the person is horrible, but that doesn't mean you ought to. (But I'll forgive you if you do, even if you shouldn't.)

Yeah, but even those who are opposed to gay marriage and transgender rights aren't necessarily as bonkers about it as folks like Perce. There are lots of people, for example, who are opposed to women serving in combat roles (which were opened to women starting this year), but the majority of these people don't try to

Interesting fact: witch hunts and witch trials weren't actually very common in the Middle Ages. It was only during the Renaissance - in conjunction with the Reformation and the Counter-Reformation and the Enlightenment and colonialism in the New World - that witch trials became a big thing.

One thing that's quite odd and a bit offensive to me is the fact that all these "New Age" mystic types and Wiccan witches have set up shop in Salem.

That guy! His stuff is great.

Even better than the books - in my opinion - were the graphic novel adaptations, which had some of the most beautiful illustrations I've ever seen in a comic.
