Working at a gas station has largely ruined "Mythbusters" for me for just that reason.

I watched "Goodfellas" shortly after having seen the film and then read the comic, and my immediate reaction was, "Martin Scorsese should have directed that."

Having watched the movie first and read the comic after, I cannot agree with this comment enough.

At least in the EU, the Imperials came up with some planet-destroying super-weapons that weren't such massive, all-your-eggs-in-one-basket type deals.

For an excellent live-action adaptation, watch the made-for-TV movie that aired on NBC in 1999. Beautifully captures the tone and narrative of the books, and visually magnificent. Some great celebrity cameos, too.

It's one of the few sitcoms ever - along with "Rosanne" - to show ordinary people's day-to-day lives in a way that actually resembles what everyone's lives actually look and feel like.

There are several things wrong with the "bad apples" argument.

That's true. Even "Atlantis" gets a bit more recognition than "Treasure Planet" does.

Although "Treasure Planet" was a pretty great film and a really neat concept well executed (albeit a box office failure), while "Titan A.E." was - despite its potential - mostly just forgettable (as well as a box office failure).

He also spoke out about how the use of torture - sorry, "enhanced interrogation" - is actually detrimental to getting information from our enemies in addition to being horrifically inhumane.

That's because McCain is a RINO, and a traitorous un-conservative pussy! The man opposes torturing terrorists - he's a Demon-crat wolf in sheep's clothing!!!!

"Just because things didn't turn out wonderful afterwards doesn't mean a no fly-zone was a bad idea"

The only good thing about Tom Bombadil is the existence of this crazy fan theory about how he's actually a primordial evil more malevolent than Sauron or even Morgoth, who will, once the elves and the Maiar have departed and the magical bonds restraining him have faded, will be freed to rule over Middle Earth in

I really feel that the quote about always being available for your husband's pleasure should have been accompanied not by an image of a mouse with a bunch of babies, but with an image of a male cat biting the scruff of the female's neck while he copulates with her.

I found the shirt to be, at worst, a very unfortunate choice of words that someone should probably have noticed, but ultimately an innocent mistake.

I couldn't offer an opinion as to whether or not Kickstarter is part of the free market or not, but I dislike the free market, so saying it isn't is no dig at Kickstarter.

I'm reminded of Preston Tucker, whose attempts to market his brilliant automobile innovations - which gave the consumer a higher quality and safer product - were crushed by the Big Three and only found success when he lobbied the Federal Gov't to make some of his safety improvements (like seatbelts) legally mandatory.

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!

That's why Plinkett's Prequel rants are so great - they don't just go "WOW this suuuuuucks!" but point out what specific mistakes were made in constructing those films.

So he's basically Lonestar.
