As a technician I can assure you diagnosing a car is not as simple as reading a code and replacement of that part. The codes are there to point you in a direction to look. That’s why we have Freeze frame data and active tests, and repair manuals.

If a police officer is compelling you to unlock your phone with your fingerprint then just reboot the phone. On reboot the first unlock requires you to enter the PIN

Complex PINs don’t exist. A fingerprint is more secure than a pin but less secure than a password with letters numbers and symbols. An average desktop can crack a PIN in minutes.

I’ve gotten so used to wireless headphones that now I find wired ones annoying.

Yeah, because the app drawer is translucent...

I’ve got news for you. Dealerships don’t make money on sales of New cars. They are lucky if they break even. The service department is the dealerships money maker. I’ve spent my entire career working in dealership service departments, and have yet to find any dealer that makes money on new car sales. It’s a <1% margin

You must not understand economics. “Shopping around for the best deal” is exactly what drives prices down. Tesla’s one price model is exactly what drives prices up.

Thank you for that. As a technician I run into this all the time. People don’t understand what goes into making a car. If you want a sun roof or something, you may have to pay for something like an upgraded radio because of how the car is designed.

Agreed. I’m a technician at a dealership. It’s been my career for years, and I’ve worked at several dealer’s. They definitely don’t collude with each other. In fact, they hate each other. It’s a bitter rivalry between dealership owners.

That’s because they have to be. Why would anyone go to a Mercedes owned dealership when you can go down the road to a franchised dealer and get it cheaper?

You don’t need to unlock the bootloader in order to root a Nexus phone. You can gain root access using ADB commands or simply using an app like Towelroot.
