It really has to be tailored to the individual you’re addressing, based on what you perceive their sensibilities to be. And a lot of it is the tone and emphasis on key words. But terms and phrases like “disreputable” (or “less reputable”), “some sites”, “niche market sites”, “independent advertisers” get used a lot.
