No, he means something similar to transitions lenses that automatically darken when exposed to (in this case) UV light. Polarized glass simply reduces glare and hazing by filtering reflected light.
Funny, my friend’s parents own a gliding business in western New Jersey and she took me and another friend up there a couple weekends ago. First time in a glider myself, and honestly I was not worried at all. Many people fear the lack of an engine, but you have to realize these aircraft are built to glide, not fall.

“How about when this is all over we go get some Roscoes Chicken and Waffles on me... Think about it now; that ‘Scoe’s Special, smothered in gravy and onions.. Side of red beans and rice, some greens.
That’s some good eatin’...”
I’d be tempted to make the trek up there for this if it wasn’t on a fricken Thursday. Really guys? Guys? Really?

So the question becomes, how much of a premium will it be to ship your container by direct train to Europe vs. via the normal over-sea methods?
16 days compared to 30-40 is a considerable time difference for large scale freight. Das ist interesting.
How long would it take for a container to make that trip by ship? It’s a long route by rail, but I suspect by container ship it would be just as long or longer. Intermodal methods may be quicker, though I really have no idea.
Jen! JEN! ROB HAS THE LAWN MOWER AGAIN! JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
Everyone needs a convertible once in their life, it’s a very unique feeling, one that is both awesome and scary depending on where you take it.
This is mine, and I can’t wait for spring and summer:
The design concepts are the way they need to be going. I’m sensing some of Volvo’s minimalism with that interior and that is not a bad thing. Lincoln really needs to get away from the “fancy Ford” image they’ve had for the past decade.
We know the steps and the doors won’t make it to production. If the overall design…
I agree, hopefully they do. Someone in that department probably has a newish Accord right?
He somehow got a picture of me in my work outfit.
I’m not saying I’m right, I hope I am, but time will tell. I hope they catch whoever it was, regardless if I’m right or not.
LOL!
Nope, I no experience with Accord’s.
Obviously we don’t know the extent of damage to the car, if it’s just a headlight then it may be fixed before the car is ever ID’d, if it’s more then looking at incoming cars to body shops may be worth a look. Chances are that whoever did this probably won’t know how to fix their own headlight or body work.
Time will…
Twirling the prosthetic mustache in his pocket “You never know.”
Holy Lugnuts! What a thing to come home to. LOL
First thing’s first, the collective car knowledge of those here on Jalopnik is absolutely amazing. If it had not been me, it would have been someone else. There are many accounts of us collectively identifying entire vehicles from the smallest of part fragments.
Second…
It’s been an hour and 15min and not one word from our own resident Jagvar? I’m disappointed.
