Except for me, as possibly the only straight male in existence to drag their dad, when 8 years old, to a showing of Spice World.
Oh yeah, I jumped on the Embedded train when it got mentioned here in the Podmass. Still waiting eagerly for a new season to start on that.
Ah, I thought from your first paragraph that you hadn't heard any episode of the podcasts spotlighted today.
I don't know, It Won't Be Long, All I've Gotta Do, and the cover of You've Really Got A Hold On Me are all really great.
Undone was an absolutely amazing podcast and I'm so saddened that it only lasted eight episodes. It told some incredible stories, most of which I hadn't heard of or, in the case of the first episode of Disco Demolition Night, revealed more about it that it wasn't aware of. The Disco Demolition Night episode is worth…
Could've had the story just play dead.
That's it!
Very good job. Got everything correct. Also very good at being able to remember that Duplex was a thing and also that The Man Without A Face was actually directed by Mel Gibson. Even though other members on my team suggested Man Without A Face, I felt so sure that Braveheart had to have been his directorial debut that…
Hint: His last film stars Ben Stiller.
2007, actually. And I also think that those who remembered knowing of the film when we looked it up and saw it was the right answer didn't remember Zooey Deschanel being in it.
Correct on the first one. Devito definitely directed a few films past the 90's.
Excellent job, all three are correct. Particularly good on Bridge To Terbithia, which no one on my team could remember, and Red Sorghum/Li Gong, which only one of my teammates had a hunch on and which the majority of teams didn't know.
Correct on most. Death To Smoochy is the last Danny Devito directed film that most people, my team included, remember that he directed, but he did one more after that.
It most certainly is him!
Right on the second one, made the exact same mistake as I did on the first one.
Also might have to do with no longer doing live shows at the PIT, where I think the worst of their live shows audio quality wise came from.
Movie Trivia once again, and this was even more of a blast than usual. As per usual, my film group was composed of two teams, The Hand That Lox The Bagel and The Texas Chainstore Managers, and my team was just filled with some of the best camaraderie and good cheer that we could have, possibly fueled by all of us…
That is Alex Ross Perry's thing. Listen Up Philip is very, very much about mostly miserable people inflicting their misery on others.
Yeah, Scream 3 was fucking garbage audio quality wise. The two that they did in L.A. sounded pretty good though. And this is where I brag that a friend of mine got an extra ticket to the Howard The Duck one, so I'll actually see that live.
