Awesome to hear about the sobriety. While I imagine it's in some ways always going to be a bit of a struggle, when it's at the point where you feel like it's a component of your life and not how it's now defining you, that's a sign that it really can be done and feels that much easier.

Oooh, a night which even stumped the mighty MBS. Cool. You're right about Christina Applegate being in The Big Hit in 1998, but that's not the one. And you shouldn't have doubted yourself on one of the Expendables films, as it was Expendables II. But you are right on Torn Curtain.

Yeah, if you had been there, my team would've squeaked by with a victory by one point.

True, although one of my teammates is just a year below you and still couldn't think of it.

Correct on the majority. Added one extra film to the Hanks/Howard team ups and the vast majority of people thought Julie Andrews last appeared in Princess Diaries 2. Only one of my teammates and someone and another team remembered her actual last film, which came out the same year as Despicable Me and is a sad ending

Correct on it being five for Howard/Hanks films and The Mighty Ducks. Only partial credit for the Spy Kids answer, as you needed to specify which of the Spy Kids films he appeared in. And it's not Sidney Poitier, who won enough real Oscars to not need an honorary one, and you'll be happy to know it wasn't Kevin Kline

Correct on the majority. Only wrong answer is that the tagline wasn't from Bad News Bear. I actually had that as my guess, but as one of my teammates pointed out to me, part of the plot of The Bad News Bears is that the coach had coached before, but got busted with a DUI and had to coach the Bears as community service.

Correct on the majority. The only wrong one is the tagline is not for Hardball. Fogell would've been accepted as a right answer. No question mark for Charlize Theron, as that's her in The Road. And, once again, someone else who actually remembered Beautiful Girls. Great job.

Correct on everything. No idea if they would've accepted Rooster Cogburn…And The Lady, but Rooster Cogburn was definitely accepted. Great job on Beautiful Girls. Not a single one of us could think of it. I'd heard the name before, but had no idea the film was so stacked with talent.

It's sad that I just now realize that it's a biblical reference in the Beastie Boys tune Shadrach.

It's Fogell, but I doubt you would've been marked wrong for forgetting one l. And for the second week in a row, you do manage to remember a character name that no one on our team could remember. And unlike Lars And The Real Girl, I've seen and enjoyed Superbad but couldn't remember that at all.

Such a fun night of Movie Trivia. I mean, it's always fun, but some nights feel even more epic and awesome than others and this was one of them. As always, there were two teams made up of my film group, Don't Hate Robert Altman's The Player, Hate David Fincher's The Game, which I was on, and The Beer Hunters II: Tokyo

Just about. Via Box Office Mojo, the first one made $53.9 million rounded, while the second one's opening weekend was $54.9 million rounded.

Looking at Box Office Mojo, they had it playing in theaters for 9 weekends, from the beginning of May until the end of June, which isn't too uncommon even today for a moderately decent wide release that doesn't show signs of immediately tanking.

There was the Melissa McCarthy film Spy literally just a year ago.

Didn't know that about The Bugle. Damn, Radiotopia's grown so much. With the addition of The Bugle, they're now at 16 podcasts and, because of their Podquest competition, they're now set to expand to at least 17, possibly more.

I liked the last Start Up more than you, but yeah, I'm finding that the episodes that deal with with the inner workings of Gimlet just aren't the most interesting. Thankfully, it's only three episodes and the rest of the season can look at another company, as I thought the season earlier this year had some great

As you can get detailed with CBS procedurals, so it is with me and the podcasts that I listen to. Helped that this was a really good one and one I listened to twice.

True, but to base a degree of paranoia over polls when one out of 50 doesn't line up is a little too extreme for my tastes, even if you're possibly also saying that to make sure people don't get complacent.

Yeah, while I'm excited to vote for the first time, I can't really say any of the local Congressional elections are super exciting. For Senate, as mentioned, we have Shumer running, who's a lock. And for my Congressional district, we have a Democratic incumbent who's only real competitor isn't a Republican, but a
