I know the big, big Star Trek con is in Las Vegas and they have that as an annual thing during the summer. I think they also hold one in Boston. There's one smaller one that takes place in NJ(been in Cherry Hill for a while, moving to Parsippany). So there are options out there, you just have to look.

Unfortunately, I'm one of those Millenials who owns no TV, so it's only online for me and I haven't looked to see if the other episodes are streaming on other websites. I did see the write-up of the USA episode here and it sounded really good.

As soon as you said The Terminal, I know who you're talking about. Damn, didn't realize that was her.

I heard of it, but somehow never actually knew what it was. Sounds excellent though.

Correct on both. Good job on remembering Absolute Power.

Good job, got all three correct.

The trailer for this looked really incredible and one of the most intriguing films being released this month. Glad to see it's gotten a good review here, and from Mike D'Angelo of all people.

Correct on most. Friday was not Ice Cube's first film but one from earlier in the decade. Still, good job on Gattaca. One of my teammates mentioned it, but wasn't positive, and I offered up Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow mostly because of Morrow rhyming with tomorrow. However, I decided to go for Gattaca,

I was at a Star Trek convention last weekend, the first in NYC for awhile, and I saw both a panel with Adam and Nimoy's daughter, Julie, and a tribute to Leonard Nimoy. Adam Nimoy came off pretty well and seemed like he made a good tribute to his dad and the complicated feelings of growing up with a dad who played a

Sounds actually pretty intriguing. Documentaries now seem to be having a surge of meta documentaries discussing how documentaries really work and what kind of truth they offer. This seems like it'd be a good addition to this conversation.

It most certainly is. I was most surprised to hear Zoe Saldana was in it. I guess, because I only got introduced to her via Avatar, I was thinking of her as being a relatively recent discovery.

Yup, you got them all, including, indeed, the super, super easy one.

Also, for the first time, I'm commenting on something in the article, which is to say it's a pleasant surprise that there's already a second season of Gaycation. I did dig the first two episodes about Japan and Brazil, which are on YouTube and y'all should seek out.

Well, tonight was a small comedown, but solely based on not winning. In truth, it was a super enjoyable night that, because there was a slightly lower turnout than normal from my film group, had much lower expectations on my part and ended up exceeding them. In spite of my other film group team having five people and

Hey, look at me. Look at me. He's the captain.

You must've gotten this mixed up with White Boy.

The fact that it's coming from fucking Vice also tells much of what you need to know.

I liked him quite a bit in Moonrise Kingdom, also from that year.

I'm pretty sure Lawrence started on The Bill Engvall Show.

So, better hope that Criterion continues what its been doing for at least this past year of giving important incoming releases a theatrical run before DVD.
