"Weenie man to the rescue! Weenie man away!"
"Weenie man to the rescue! Weenie man away!"
Correct on all three!
That's right. Makes sense. I do sometimes get leery about teams who do well in the back, since it'd be easy to cheat there, but they did well on every round, even audio and video, so I'll give benefit of the doubt. Plus, if they were looking up answers, they would've gotten the final round easily.
Yup, there it is! But I was also correct that he was in The Third Man.
Embarrassing to me, since I've seen The Third Man, I'm not 100% sure. If I had to guess, I'd say the first actor to play M, who I'm sadly blanking on right now.
Sounds pretty good. Might have to check that out sometime. I was told at Trivia that Videology has it on DVD, so might have to rent that one.
That was the last of the three Bond themes sung by Shirley Bassey. I also don't remember it that well, definitely not a Goldfinger or Diamonds Are Forever.
There we go. You got it!
Correct on Barachel and The Castle. This was the first I've heard of The Castle and my Aussie teammate mostly just mentioned how it's such a weird film. The Anchorman question was my fault in writing it, as they were only looking for the numeric channel number. And I messed up the wording for the Romero question as…
True, but the ones for For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy also count as among the worst, in part due to being the blandest.
Correct on the suitcase and Diamonds Are Forever. As I said in my paragraph before all the questions, Never Say Never Again doesn't count for these questions as it wasn't an official Eon Productions release. This is the one that no one got right.
There's also the small trend of bars that happen to have lots of arcade games. In the NYC area, Barcade is the main one of these and they've done well enough to have about 4 or 5 locations, presumably with more on the way. Bringing together nostalgic adults to drink and play games from their youth also seems like a…
Correct on A View To A Kill reaching number 1 and about Nobody Does It Better and Live And Let Die reaching 2. Also, most recently, Skyfall also hit 2. Happy that it was the best 80's Bond theme and in the top echelon for me made it to 1.
That's the one right there!
Yup, right on both the answer and what Goldeneye actually is. I was hoping more people would fall for Quantum Of Solace, since it got so much slack for being a horrible title but actually is the name of a Bond short story, but a good number of people knew Goldeneye.
Correct on all but Eric Bana's film debut. That was one many teams got wrong; it was actually his second film. I also thought that, but luckily, one of my teammates thought of the right answer and my Aussie teammate backed it up.
It was a damn fine night of movie trivia at Videology, with this night being especially amazing because of the fact that it was my guest round. My guest round was all about James Bond, and it was one that most people did pretty well in, with most questions going the way I wanted in terms of ratio. The only question I…
Also, there's no indication that Sarah Polley is gay or bisexual.
Thanks for the clarification. I knew about the Documentary requirement covering NYC and thought it applied all around.
For those in NYC, IFC Center is showing this, likely to give it Academy Awards eligibility. It's not playing any later than 5:10, so don't expect any real evening showings, but the animation might be worth watching on a bigger screen.
