Got it!
Got it!
If you're into certain films, these really aren't that hard and a vast majority of teams. Perhaps we're all staffed with idiot savants, that is possible, but these aren't that piercingly difficult. Now, they're not my favorite type of trivia, and when I do a guest round in early August, there definitely won't be those…
Right on all three. Congrats on being one of the few people out there to both remember Draft Day and that Reitman directed it.
I don't know how they're doing on a national level, but at an NYC level, which matters a little bit given that they're based there, they seem to be doing pretty well, as they seem to have gotten a guaranteed exhibition deal with IFC Center going on and their films usually do pretty well there. Plus, they have the…
You're right, that was me not wanting to look it up and trying and failing to remember how they were related. And I like some cringe, but this is uncomfortable in a way that I can't really tolerate.
Oh it's definitely on my big, big, big list of films to see.
See, I also never knew up until tonight that Clue and My Cousin Vinny shared a director, as I still haven't seen My Cousin Vinny.
Good job, you got them all! Especially impressed with you remembering the director of Clue, as, while I also love that, I nor anyone else on my team could think of who directed it. Also, none of us could remember Chirs Eliot's character name in Groundhog Day.
Very close to a perfect score. However, Ivan Reitman did direct one more film after No Strings Attached. Still, you came closer than my team and I, as I could only think as far back as My Super Ex-Girlfriend.
As with many of your Debate Clubs that I can answer, I'm just gonna go with the first one that I can think of and go with Grey Gardens. It's often thought of as an amazing documentary, but I just hated being in the presence of the Edie sisters and found it to be sheer torture after awhile.
Last night of trivia was fun, yet also quite a bit exhausting, owing to just how long this night lasted, which was due to a combination of technical issues with the mic and one of our regular quizmasters not being there. Still, it was a good night with both of my teams, Octopussy Control and The Beer Hunters,…
ABC as well in NYC and the NYC area.
In this case, it has to do with changing the genders of one successful film to the other. The statement here would be, hey, women can be as successfully funny in these roles as a bunch of white guys and one black guy were over 30 years ago.
And Chris Hemsworth is a lot of fun as a dumb dude.
Come on man, Godzilla: Final Wars is tons of fun. If you can accept Godzilla Vs. Megalon and Godzilla's Revenge, you can accept Final Wars.
To be fair, I feel that that's the best that could've been hoped for. It being a reboot made it less likely that it'd be an especially great film, but with all the comedic talent behind it, it seemed likely to still be a pretty solidly good film.
Got ya. I just never really considered that based on an Internet meme as much as the other two ad based ones were.
Ah, see I mostly just see him comments for reviews he does, where things usually aren't too aggressive. I missed that article entirely. While there probably were some good points being made, I can see the potential for a lot of it being tinged with aggressiveness, which would put a writer on the defensive. But then…
I actually haven't seen any real dickishness from Hassenger in the comments. He always seems pretty cordial to me. But then, maybe I haven't been in the comments sections where he gets super pissy.
Ah, yeah, I forgot that Lifetime movie existed. Is the latter film The To Do List?
