Gotcha, gotcha. It's a tricky one to guess if you haven't taken an experimental film course or dabbled in avant garde film. The actual title is called Dog Star Man, which also was used as the name for a Suede song.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
Sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do.
I'm surprised anyone would have that strong a reaction. Seemed like just an okay thriller from the trailers.
Right on most. It's not Serving Sara. Our team also thought it was Cutthroat Island, but as it turns out, that came out the next year, 1995, where Waterworld easily trounced the winner from 1994. Repulsion is one, but not Knife In The Water. Otherwise, right or partially right on everything else. Good job on…
Correct on most, other than 7. Now I'm curious what version of Grizzly Man you saw or heard of.
Damn, great job, you got all of them. Annoyingly, one of my teammates knew the plot of Chloe and knew that it had Amanda Seyfried, but just couldn't remember the name. And Non-Stop just was a total blank.
Glad you recovered your keys and that they were in an obtainable place.
Well, similarly, you need to come to Movie Trivia to show off your guruhood.
That it is. I thought that as well, but my teammates disagreed and went with Vertical Helical Scan. While that's been offered as what VHS stands for, it's been disputed and the CHS Wikipedia talk page for VHS has a big thing about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…
You are correct. I remembered the song was Radiohead, so I decided to look at the soundtrack, which only included Talk Show Host. Goes to show both how I haven't seen Romeo + Juliet and how little I've listened to OK Computer.
It's a solid guess for the 1994 film, but not correct. Got the Neeson correct.
Correct on all of them! We could identify films where Jumpin' Jack Flash was featured in, those being Mean Streets and the film of the same name, yet none of us could remember Fear And Loathing. Which sucks for me, as I did see that, although a while back and at a midnight screening where I was super tired.
Correct on all three. We didn't get Let Her Dance due to none of us recognizing the song and, for myself, having not watched Fantastic Mr. Fox in so long to remember it. And for Paint It Black, we went with Apocalypse Now and kicked ourselves when we realized it was Full Metal Jacket.
As I said late with your Debate Club yesterday, when it comes to romantic comedies of yore, I really enjoy those that double as screwball comedies. And honestly, I'd be happy if screwball comedies came in vogue again, with an emphasis on tightness, witty banter, and great physical comedy.
Where would you put down films like Interstellar or The Martian? Not that I disagree, but it's a nice small trend towards that that I'd love to see more of.
Right you are on all of them.
Damn, what a fun night of trivia. As per usual, two teams were formed from my film group. Within my team, we had a great first round in which we tied for a second place. But a tough audio round of identifying songs that played in closing credits and one tough Liam Neeson SuperChunk dropped us down a bit. Still, we did…
My late awesome grandpa definitely had a name which, while I never heard any jokes within my family, definitely lent themselves well: Dick Moore.
If only you looked like your avatar. I'd totally be down for having a cantankerous Daffy Duck as my judge.
