Generally, free to play games are games I don’t enjoy that much and quit playing soon after. Like, it not being fun is part of the reason I take pride in not spending money on it.

That image of the harbour really makes me wish they did a proper Lovecraftian DLC. Point Lookout was sort of that, but yeah. You’d have to put in a really ludicrous amount of time into the game to do that. It’s also a rather random definition of RPG. ‘No level cap? Not an RPG’.

Morrowind was a great game and while Bethesda has shed a few solid, good RPG mechanics over the years that they shouldn’t have, they’ve also shed a lot of tedious time-wasting bullshit. Like the combat system of rapidly karate-chopping your opponent with your sword and inexplicably missing half the time.
