I was unaware of this model. Always loved the Dauphine, reminds me of 1960s new wave cinema black and white French movies with subtitles

The Chamois is a perfect visual illustration of the difference, 2-door saloon on top, coupe on bottom. I was trying to think of what else was offered in both styles, but it seems like most cars are either one or the other. Among American cars, the Ford Model A Tudor would probably be the best-known 2-door sedan.

How about a rear engined estate/station wagon?

Simca 1000. Manufactured by Chrysler. My Dad had one of these when I was very little.

Well, it does look kind of retro. But retro's a thin veneer of old on a new car, whereas the RV8 was more a thin veneer of new on an old car.

Retroception!
