I wish they addressed this, it would’ve been great if Vader asked WHY he wasn’t put out of his misery, and screaming at Obi-Wan to kill him when he again just walks away. Or Qui Gon repeatedly convincing him from beyond that it’s not time for Anakin to die yet. 

It kind of fits in with the flawed Jedi logic of you’re automatically forgiven for years and years of murdering, torturing, and maiming people for realizing at some point all that shit you did was wrong.

I loved the simplicity of luca. It was highly character focused. Sure there were crazy magic sea monsters or whatever, but it was a story about actual characters and it was refreshing to see a pixar movie so low stakes.

My kids didn’t even bother finishing Turning Red, so I guess at some point this summer I’ll see how it wraps up. I’m not waiting on pins and needles.

This is not a spoiler, but the same sex couple in this movie is such a small thing. I barely even tracked it. It’s more of a “oh, nice.” kinda thing. It’s sweetly done but like all pixar romances, the movie doesn’t harp on it or anything

Yeah, given the general lack of romance in Pixar films, shoehorning this in there for no reason other than to check the box was just a bad idea that was going to leave pretty much everyone dissatisfied.

Luca 2 can feature the first canonical throuple in a Disney movie!

More of Luca and Alberto! Disney would never do it, but it would be remarkable if a sequel made it that budding romance everyone assumes it was. 

I read that as intimate sequel and I think we want that too.
