Yeah, Destroyer is a guilty pleasure but Conan is on a whole other level for reasons stated in this article, as well as an incredible soundtrack.

Ari Aster?

I loved that man growing up. Addams Family, Night Court, Killer Tomatoes. Frighteners was like the best of both worlds as I was big Peter Jackson fan. I must have rented Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles and Dead Alive like a dozen times. My local video store clerk was very cool. He didn’t give me lip about being underage.

Coming back here, you can argue about this list all day but the moment you put Endgame above Infinity War, especially a full 4 films above it, loses all credibility.

I always felt The Horror Show was so much better than its later inspired Shocker by Wes Craven and that was in no small part due to Brion James chewing up the screen in the former.

Yeah, I’m a bit saddened that he didn’t go on to bigger or better things. Playing Benny on L.A. Law kickstarted his career but after Darkman, he did a couple STV sequels and a few STV Dr. Giggles movies and then just kinda faded away.

I can’t argue with that but the rest of the cast are there primarily in service of finding a way to send the evil back. Ash Williams may be a lucky goof when handling the deadites but him figuring out on his own how to send the evil back through the portal goes beyond what is believable, even for Evil Dead.

It’s groovy

For me, the appeal of horror movies boils down to the notion of inconceivable chaos tearing its way into the world we live in, completely unbound, not only by the man-made systems and structures of society that controls every aspect of our lives but by the laws of known physics itself.

There needs to be a Character Actor Hall of Fame. So many actors who were an indelible part of our youth who’s names, for the most part, we can’t remember.

I’m not a Dr. Strange fan, personally. I’m going 100% for Sam Raimi.

Does Rocket extracting the Ether from Natalie Portman count?

Interesting

oh boy

“Ooooh, I’m keeping this...”

Evil Dead II was my first introduction into the franchise and when they announced another sequel (Army of Darkness), I was so hyped. My expectations were already pretty high but then Dark Horse comics released the graphic novel adaptation of Army of Darkness a month or so before the movie’s release and it’s tone was

Crimewave used to pop up on HBO a lot and at a time when I was still eating up the glory that is Evil Dead II, eager to consume anything Sam Raimi. I was also disappointed at the time that Bruce Campbell wasn’t the lead but still, it’s a crazy, madcap action comedy that also features Bluto and mustachioed psychopath

The Quick and the Dead is an underappreciated gem. It’s a simple story and setup with a saloon fully stocked with character actors and future notable ‘A’ listers. Gene Hackman has some of his best scenes in this movie. He’s ruthless and terrifying.

So a 0.1% drop = 50 billion loss?
