I tried to fight 1v1 against CPU, but I can't get beyond a lvl 7 CPU because I had a hard time dodging and jumping (due to the controlling system). In comparison, I can fight a lvl 9 CPU 1v1 without a hitch in Brawl.

It's like a Classical reception of busts. Kratos is the son of Zeus, so a bust of him (and probably a temple) would not be inconceivable back then. Also most busts and statues are painted in Ancient Rome/Greece.
