Picked up Xcom's Enemy Within for 12 bucks the other day. Lovin' it all over again. I like that they tweaked the pacing too, doesn't feel like you have to rush to make sure your soldiers are powerful enough before the xenos are too strong.

Pretty much. Default setting on servers is no friendly-fire, so explosives planted by your teammates can't damage you or your vehicle. They can however propel you across the map.

48 players has always been better in terms of balance, imo.
