You can't hack dead players. You shoot them with a stun gun, then hack their intel while they're stunned. But while they're stunned they basically light up on their teammates huds, telling them where they are and that they need help.

Have yet to play ME3. Big fan of the first two. Waiting for it to come down in price after the huge fit everybody threw over the story. This trailer only makes me want to play it more!

The 2nd is certainly more linear but it wasn't a bad game on its own.
