Boston here too. I don’t have the means to get down to DC right now, but I’ve started having to keep track on my calendar of the local marches and protests I’m planning on attending. I’m hoping DC for Earth Day... at least (ugh) there will be plenty of opportunities.

This is my Christmas card this year. I needed an easy creative outlet, and I have a really nice neglected photo printer, and I hoped to pass on to my people how much my cat makes me laugh. So there.

I’m having a hard time understanding how anyone can be optimistic about next year. My personal life is improving a bit, so yay? Nope, not feeling it.

Cameras are getting pretty impressive. They can be left places and record hours and hours worth of good quality footage.

Well, I think having to listen to women with the Most Important Job In The World carry on about it while getting hassled for being unmarried and childless without stabbing someone in the face makes *me* have a set of skills better suited for certain professions. :-P

I have this really detailed fantasy about smoking spliffs with her, the Obamas, and Uncle Joe. They’re smart people who have to deal with Republicans on the daily... of course they’ve got a sense of humor.

I think that is mostly people’s point here. Saying motherhood makes you more qualified to be a mother is one thing... saying it makes you more qualified in general is another. Hillary would be just as qualified for the presidency…

I know we’re a minority, but you are 100% correct. The pretty leaves cannot make up for it getting colder and darker and wetter every day until the sun turns around. Every day it takes me longer and longer to get out of the house because I have to put on more and more clothing.

There were a couple of Dudes taking in the exhibits when I was there, and I got to overhear one say to the other, “Bro, she’s *petrified*” about one of the specimens, as though it was one of the most genuinely interesting things he’d ever seen in his life.
