ok!
ok!
Margaery marrying Joffrey was Mace and Margaery’s idea. Olenna made it a better one.
Yeah but Dragonstone is Right. There. Looking at the map is infuriating, because isn’t Dany effectively blockading King’s Landing just be being on that island?
Also, this was supposed to be a big failure for Tyrion, but then in the next episode we see the Unsullied have made the trek to King’s Landing in no time flat, completely unaffected by what we were promised would be a long, starving slog.
I think I watched it probably 3 times? So yeah, consider the cookies a plus.
WAIT DID DOG JOSH SURVIVE THE SIMULTANEOUS HOUSE FIRES?????/
I think Roose thought that’s what he was doing--that the birth of a legitimate son would be a check on Ramsay, because he’d be more worried about pleasing his father. But he vastly overrated the strength of Ramsay’s filial loyalty. Sociopaths do not react well to threats!
Only two qualms with this wonderful finale:
1) Ugh did they have to use a live monkey??? That is so cruel and they made it SO FAR without one.
2) That’s not what an 11 o’clock number is. The timing, yes--but it tends to be a big fun number by a supporting character, to wake the audience up for the emotional finale.…
Now I have “Satisfied” stuck in my head.
(Not a complaint.)
The real cheating was that he paid for all that salmon!
Have just re-rewatched “No One Else Is Singing My Song” and am on the polyamory train, but I think it should just be Rebecca-Nathaniel-Josh and Greg should go back to Atlanta.
Nathaniel could afford a king-size bed for the three of them to sleep in! They would have so much fun doing stuff on weekends, and they have…
Anyone else annoyed that Weird Al was named in the opening credits??? That would’ve been a hell of a surprise. Loved the fake out on whether he was gonna give Greg a whole “song and dance.”
So do we think they’ve been saving Weird Al’s friend and walk-of-fame-mate, Lin-Manuel Miranda, for the final episode? Or do we…
whoops wrong episode post
I bet he’s gonna reappear in the finale and demonstrate some important lesson he’s learned and it’ll be a lightbulb moment for Rebecca.
Plus he helped introduce the whole “rape as background visuals to men talking” thing that has not been the bestest part of GoT’s aesthetic.
The biggest cruelty of this episode was giving us probably the best wedding dress ever seen but there’s no way you can emulate for your own wedding because What the fuck Karen, did you not watch the whole episode????
Agreed. Vox had a great piece on how there’s no way the Ramsay we’re shown could command an army like that.
Oh man the part where she countermands Margaery’s plan to FEED THE HUNGRY just because she doesn’t like her daughter-in-law.
(Cersei’s senseless vendetta against Margaery is probably the worst part of Season 5. I’m told the whole “ooh great idea let’s empower the church” thing is better justified in the books, but I…
Oh yeah, excellent narrative choice! But you know when you’re at a restaurant and you can’t choose between entrees so you look at the sides and you’re like, “Oh gross that one has beets, I’ll get the other one instead?” Josh and Greg have a lot of beets.
Or Russell Crowe!
Wait, too far.
