The entertainment world has always been filled with sacks of shit like him, just in the past they were covered up or enough money was thrown at the problem to make it go away. The difference now is that technology is at the point where you can keep the receipts of these douche bags and expose them for who they are. 

A lot of companies now have cyber insurance that offsets the cost of recovering. If the cost to rebuild is being covered by the insurance why pay the clowns who stole your data?
