You don't have to be "elderly" to have failing vision. It usually starts around age 40. I haven't been able to see the difference in retina displays for years...

Retina displays are awesome, but once your eyeballs get past 45 years old you can't tell the difference. Of course it looks even better when viewed with 2.00 magnifying readers...
