Well I was being a bit of a smartass because at the time I made the remark (RTA = read the article) the article mentioned the Pre being able to do this before Apple took steps to prevent it. For whatever reason that portion of the story is no longer in the article, so I just look like a douche lol. My apologies.

True it is in California, but why do filmmakers always like showing the sun rising over the ocean in California? They did that in the remake of The Haunting or one of those movies too, the characters were stuck on a gable at the end after they got out and it was a sheer drop to the ocean and the sun was coming up.
