I’m baffled about how much people define themselves by their ancestors. I have certainly benefitted, culturally as well as probably financially (though I didn’t grow up with a TON of money, there was money around and we were never told we couldn’t live somewhere or anything), from being white. That I can acknowledge.

This is Kickstarter, and John Romero’s about to make you his pitch.

I love how in Armageddon, he introduces himself, “I am no friend of yours. I am Rain, a prince of Edenia.”

How are we not coexisting with different viewpoints? What you’re talking about is a consequence free environment and that indeed shouldn’t exist.

Same. Cigarette smoke also kills my sinuses. I have no moral problem with either, but would date neither.

Can’t stand the smell. Instant headache and sinus problems. So, no thank you.

Okay okay. We get that it’s 4/20 but enough with the weed stories. You do know that a woman pretty much secured the Presidency yesterday right? Can we get some more coverage on that when you get a chance?

Right. Making your own smoothies, using whole fruit, is a good way to get more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Just drinking the juice is not.

I’m thinking this is more like letting you know that “Allegra” may make people think of allergy medication rather than music.

Eh, pull me out of the greys on Jezebel and I’ll buy the first couple rounds, even though I’m not sure even a blackout would purge those 10 minutes.

That’s pretty typical of electrical systems. The purer the water the longer things will function before they short out. Being a hybrid if he had a prop he might have made it to the other side before the car full sank and ran out of juice.

For Hondas and Toyotas? Yes. Daihatsu designs in particular seem to bob along for a while if you don’t open the doors. Fiats, LiFans and Ladas, not so much.

Source: Experience watching Corollas, Yaris and Vitzes being washed away down alleys and streets in African flash floods. They survive most of the time in cities,

Some of them didn't dry down properly. I think they'll be pulled and replaced.

I agree. I was glad when she publicly talked about how she’s not great at campaigning—and I wish she’d continue to mention that. Her campaign style irks my husband a lot—he says she’s always so fake. I respond that I’m OK with that because I’m not voting for her campaign skills, I’m into her actual job skills.

I mean, I’m pretty harsh in my assessment here but everyone has things they like. There’s nothing inherently wrong with anime titties, but the line gets crossed when people who genuinely *do not understand* business practices and localization take that love too far and feel a campaign like this is in any way

I can see both sides of this issue. Most of my older family members all work in union professions. My mom taught in inner-city schools for 32 years and I watched her fight with her union (she was a rep) to keep classroom aides; janitors; general health/retirement benefits; budgets; and prep periods because she knew

Ok. Are you willing to pay teachers 30k extra per year then? Remove tenure as one of the attractive features of this profession, and you make it even more precarious and low-rent than it already is.

Some medical devices, like CPAP machines, do not count toward the carry-on allowance, and travel in fitted bags. So do not get pissy at the older lady in front of you who looks like she has “too many bags” and demand that you get to carry an extra too.

Cool thing of note. Paul Song’s wife is Lisa Ling. Lisa Ling’s sister was once kidnapped by North Korea. And you know who traveled to NK to secure her release? Bill fucking Clinton. Yep, the husband of the woman he just called a whore.

This is why you teach your kids about consent as soon as you can. Always reinforce that “No” needs to be respected.
