I like JAM Project and hate all of Ranka’s songs, so clearly I’m in Mac 7's demo and you’re in Frontier’s. Which is fine, Frontier was designed to be marketable to modern audiences. I’m not sure who Mac 7 was designed to appeal to.

Macross 7 was delightful. Paced horribly, but not particularly cringey, great songs. Frontier onwards is...ewww with some decent songs. All the bad genre tropes with none of the hype-generating combat.

Occam’s Razor: Did the names guy at Bliz know who (famous IRL ninja) Hanzo Hattori and the historical Genji clan both were (famous mostly as a surname), know they had no relationship, and then intentionally make the ninja not Hanzo, even though Japan would use the name as a stock ninja name a la Sasuke (Sarutobi)?

Signed. I’m mostly concerned with ports being as close to 1:1 against console as possible, with wiggle room for bugfixes and reducing lag at the intended framerate. Anything other than that is nice, but basically gravy (FF10 really should have had cutscene skips added as a matter of quality of life, but c’est la vie).

Of course I don’t expect them to be as bad as 90s TMNT. It’s 2016. This is a brand-new IP.

The names are what get me. They’re such a smattering of random Japanese icons, like, if you had two American cowboys and they were named Roosevelt and (Steve) Jobs. And Jobs was beefy and Roosevelt was the equivalent of a gadgets guy.

Actual protip: Never start a conversation with “You’re going to hate me.” If it’s a cold call, they probably weren’t thinking about you and definitely haven’t formed an opinion on whatever you’re about to say.

PoP, casting aside, was exactly what I would have expected from an adaption of Sands. There was a Prince, it was Hollywood Persia, there was parkour, there was sand, there was time travel and they did figure out how to not have it derail the plot.
