I am baffled how Jag consistently makes fat, heavy cars while still somehow using a lot of aluminum. It’s the one thing that is stopping me from considering the F Type as my next car: so heavy, the V6S is essentially as quick as my current car despite the stronger engine......what’s the point?

Yes, absolutely agree. I went for a tune and set up that got me to around 10 lbs/hp and it feels perfect.

I pay more attention to torque and weight figures, but I’d say generally speaking, anything in the 300 to 400 hp range has my attention. But I’ll always throw together a weight to power ratio when determining if a car deserves my consideration.

200 hp should be more than enough to push any car around efficiently. 300 hp should be the area sports car engines should play in. Anything nearing 400 or more is likely unnecessary for a street car/daily driver. That said, I’m looking to upgrade to a car closer to 400 cuz I’m a clown and sucker for the idea that one…
