I feel ya. My maternal grandmother is a pretty terrible cook and makes holidays rough. She had picked up some pre made pulled pork from the store and, thinking it was dry, added gravy so it all turned into a bland slop of a mess.

I feel like Jessica Jones could've benefited from an episode after the first and second thirds that were a "Screw Kilgrave, here's Jessica just doing PI stuff not related to him" - in the same vein that I would've loved some good ole fashioned Murdock lawyerin' in Daredevil. I wonder if it's a product of being able…
I didn't love the cop either. The acting for him was over the top and, not that it really needs much explaining, would've been nice to throw a little something towards explanation as to what the pills were/how they worked (even just a "Oh, it's us trying to remake the super soldier serum" which everything is). And…
Somebody linked it on a reddit thread that got pretty big and it's one of the top comments
Thanks! He's doing much better now, some days get rough but it always helps to look back and see how far he's (we've all) come
I did that once while waiting for a flight in what I thought was an empty terminal in the Detroit airport. Then I realized there was a dude sitting in my blind spot behind me. Then, when getting on the plane, the dude sitting next to me was really dodgy when I tried to engage him in polite small talk, eventually it…
I think Wizard and Glass was my favorite of the series, mostly because I didn't enjoy a lot of the characters in the Dark Tower besides Roland. And it was a cool bit of world building.
Sorry to hear about the stroke. My father had a stroke about 5 years ago and it's been a helluva recuperation period but, like you said, slow and steady is how recovery from it goes.
Saturday night I went to a screening of Almost Famous with a friend. Somehow had never seen it before and it was pretty good, only downside was that it was the director's cut and that's always a bit rough as a first intro to a movie.
Oddly enough, so does James Franco. Though that's really more a state of being for him nowadays.
Being from WI originally, when I call home to the grandparents my grandmother dedicates at least half of the conversation to how "Aaron" is doing. When Ryan Braun admitted to using PEDs it seemed like more people in the state were upset that he made Aaron Rodgers a liar than he was using drugs and would be suspended,…
I'll bet Jimmy Fallon clapped his hands and leaned back in his chair real hard after this
While the whole situation is stupid (people blaming Munn) it did allow for her to call out the Packer's ESPN reporter for being an idiot, so that was awesome
That's me with whatever Metal Gear Solid came out with the ps4. The half game one. I look at it on my shelf a lot and think "Know what? Later today will be the day I start this game." aaaand it has yet to happen because I'm too lazy to get up and replace the Destiny disc. Or I just go play some WoW with friends.
On the gaming note, anybody know if the Darth Vader/Star Wars ps4 controller is going to be available anywhere that isn't Walmart?
Oftentimes, especially when I'm eating sugary cereal and playing video games into my late twenties, I think "Man. I'm not that adult. Other people are so much more adult" then I run into fucks like that and I feel better about myself… but worse for humanity
If Russ Feingold doesn't win against Ron Johnson I'll lose what little pride I have remaining for Wisconsin progressivism. Fightin' Bob would be crushed if he were around to see Walker
Gamergate is one of those things that leaves me speechless that people can be that ridiculously stupid
Star Wars articles are the articles I live to comment on! And it's all gone to hell!
Thanksgiving this year is what it's been the past few years on one side of the family: drama because of my f-up uncle and yet again the family saying he isn't going to show up, then he does, then we all bitch about it after. Has become a decent tradition, actually!
