While you’re at it, F*ck everyone who JUST DIDN’T VOTE in 2016.

I happened to be standing at the desk of a coworker who voted for Trump when we read this headline. Even she said “great” in a decidedly not-great tone of voice.

This is what will cement Trump’s policies in place for generations. The country is about to be even more of a conservative clusterfuck. Goodbye decisions like Roe, hello a thousand Citizens United.

Per the McConnell confirmation standard, the Senate cannot possibly confirm any nominee so close to an election. That will have to wait until a (hopefully Democratic) Senate is seated in January. Isn’t that how it works (or is that just for Democratic nominees)?

To all the Bernie Bros and Bots that told me the “the Supreme Court doesn’t matter” in 2016, I say Fuck You.

Well, we’re fucked.

He chose now. Couldn’t wait a couple more years for the good of all of us.

Over the years he went to the left sometimes when it mattered the most. He was the key vote for same-sex marriage and abortion access.

Honestly, conservatives’ obsession with abortion is baffling to me.

Yes, along with every employment law that was enacted in the 90's - ADA, ADEA, etc.

I want to vomit and cry.

Commence with the gnashing of teeth and the rending of clothing.  This is so completely terrible.  We are so fucked, even if we take the house the senate and the presidency again these lifetime appointments of the judiciary are going to screw us over and over and over again for years.  I need to go throw up.

Fuck everyone who didn’t vote for Clinton and fuck everyone who called women single issue voters.

Dude, buddy, can you at LEAST wait a few months, until November? Maybe we can elect enough Democrats to the Senate to possibly block the more Hitler-jugend-y types that Trump might nominate?

I know. I’m being generous.

He was always a conservative leaning judge, who almost never went to the left, but replacing him with a Trumper... *shudder*

I’ve daydreamed about quitting my job and going into some sort of advocacy work, but I think it might be time for it to become a reality. This country is about to get so much worse and we all have to do more to slow it down and maybe, possibly, by some slim chance, stop it.

SCOTUS’ new collective attitude seems to be: Fuck all y’all.

Goodbye abortion rights...

Completely and utterly fucked.
