Also Parks is an endearing, light, and earnest show. 30 Rock is its malcontented step-sister.

I love them both and would watch a sitcom they did together. But please give them new characters instead of spinning off or rebooting either show. I want new material, new plots, and new interactions. Plus, I can’t see a plausible way for the two existing characters to interact.

Liz and Leslie would HATE each other. Liz would get so annoyed by Leslie’s earnestness (a Kenneth who accomplishes things). Leslie would hate Liz’s cynicism and apathy under a veneer of caring.

If you think Stephen Colbert is an average singer- and not a trained vocalist who was fronting a cover band before often singing in sketch comedy and being in an all star cast of Company- you are sorely mistaken.

You never know how much you appreciate a nice, competently done, earnest and not over the top National Anthem until you see something like this.

When I saw it, the whole cast (minus Rihanna :/) surprised the audience in the theater by showing up and watching with us. I think I was too starstruck to even notice or care how about how lightweight the plot felt at times.. But it was still a fun movie and the cast is amazing.

Isn’t them looking perfect kind of the point of this whole movie? I’m in it for the hair, the makeup, the outfits.

As long as the attacks on women and minorities continue, I’m not going to be civil about anything.
