The Onion, in "Our Dumb Century", had an article where the would-be Fantastic Four are killed when their experimental jet crashed. That would've worked in this adaptation.

Oh, I suppose the Oogieloves aren't considered superheroes.
What ya think I am? A panty-waist? Bet there's no retconning that.
You must mean OT-IV, not BAMF. Come on, how can anybody take anything this guy does seriously?
See what auditing, an e-meter, and niacin can do for you?
I will never pay to see another Tom Cruise film. He's too old to play an action hero, and too much of a scientologist.
How about Jake in "Won't Back Down"? Maybe he has the sense to avoid right-wing propaganda films.
The movie actually forgets stuff?
These are GOOD?
No, a remake of Gymkata!
One sequel every six months.
A prequel to "Ghost and Mister Chicken". I can't think of anyone who was blown away by "catching fire".
You mean to tell me thar Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams, and Gwyneth Paltrow aren't actually British?
Why was "Lone Ranger" overlooked? I would much rather read Nathan Rabin's take on it than actually see the film!
To the Chinese, who have called it "soap fruit".
Once, peaking on acid, I was being driven nearly crazy by "In Rock", which a friend had brought over to my house, a friend who was a Deep Purple fan (which I was not). I got it together enough to attempt to turn the LP cover face down, and found to my literal horror that the identicle image appeared on the back cover!
The best of the entire list!
100%!!! Almost a college course on Contemporary Texas.
This isn't the boring pretentious list.
Like most long-term best-of lists, this one consists primarily of films released within the past few years .
