The pencils in the videos suggest something between 1.5x and 3x scale to life size. Depending on the size of the photos he’s working from, he’s scaling up the photos even more than that.

It’s the equivalent of: “he does something awesome, let’s put him down a peg."

God, some people are just so miserable.

This guy is probably doing these for fun and to chill, and even if it is copying from photos they show an insane amount of skill to be able to recreate them so closely with just pencil.

Geez, not understanding the hate a couple people seem to have for this kind of art. A drawing doesn’t have to be fantasy in order to be considered ‘art’.

No, that’s ridiculous. Developing the ability to recreate real life subjects is a big part of being an artist. Sure, it’s just still lifes basically, but the dude is still doing things with pencils that most of us can’t do. And with that technical talent, he has plenty of room to expand to other types of art.

Is it an impressive feat? Yes. Does it have high artistic value? Probably not. Does that qualify it to be categorized as shit? ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?!?

Spoken like someone who doesn’t draw. What this guy’s accomplishing with pencils is incredibly hard to do. It might not be the most amazing thing ever, but it’s still extremely skillful.

I wonder how big his canvas is for him to draw these with such detail.

What makes you think working as an indie developer is any easier?

Lol at equating crunch time with a triple shift at a video game rental store.
