Right.  most people buy supercars first for the look of driving a supercar.  A Tesla with 1000hp still looks like any other Tesla.  Reving a high strung V8/10/12 has a visceral charm that an electric motor does not.

Correlation is not causation. The lack of specificity on the batteries was the reason for the stock value drop, not the promise of a relatively cheap Tesla model.

They don’t have billions in their pocket. They have stock in the company that is, in theory, worth billions if they could sell it. Of course, selling it would tank the stock price, most likely.

These cars were shit to drive with a lighter FWD drivetrain and more powerful gasoline engine. I can’t imagine what a joyless experience this thing would be. Not for free unless I was broke and needed a car.
