Exactly my point. Use leverage, just don't take out a large loan on an item that in 2 years is worth much less than what you owe and always have a plan for worst times. 

Here’s a hot take: you shouldn’t be underwater on a car loan. So if you suddenly can’t afford the payments then you can sell it and buy a much less expensive car, hopefully pay all cash with the equity left from the last car and have something until your situation changes.
