If you played by today’s rules I’d buy that. With help defense and less physical play the Warriors would have the 3 best shooters on the floor by a good margin. Eventually the overall talent would overwhelm them, similar to what they do to teams now, but they could hang.

I feel the exact opposite. The level of talent in the NBA today far out paces what it was 20 years ago. And Michael never had a team like the Warriors or even the Duncan Spurs to go up against. This is a bad take. LeBron is the best player in the world, but Warriors even without KD are the best team in the world. GS was the better team in 2016 and should have won that title.
