I really dislike Christo’s work - In general, it’s wasteful the amount of resources he uses for his pieces (and then disposes of), it’s environmentally damaging in some cases, and it’s dangerous to humans that observe or participate in the pieces. These floating piers are especially dangerous without guardrails. Just

At first I was wondering who let you out of Jezebel. But they probably kicked you out after you started calling everyone a rapist.

Any time we speak of Event Horizon, we must also speak of how it is really the origin story of Warhammer 40k and the Warp.

Yeah it is an awkward oversight by Rob...The meat of his article, and even the title are made irrelevant by the “Inside the Episode” piece. I watch on HBO Now as well, and I’m always surprised when I talk to friends and they are missing info that was explained in the extras after the credits.

Actually, in episode 2 of this season (“Home”) when we first see young Wylis, he already has the scar on his head. In both episodes though, the scar is red around the edges, so it may be a new wound that just recently healed.

I don’t think it’s dying...but it is struggling for sure. Right now, you can order a HTC Vive, and have it shipped to you in a few weeks. Their supply chain has basically caught up to the demand. Oculus however is still 2+ months delayed on shipments.

Yeah, this exactly. Inhumans joined the TV plot 2 years ago? Probably about the same time Civil War was finishing the script and starting filming. You don’t have to include specifics about the on-going Inhuman plotline (it wouldn’t makes sense to do that anyways, since they are a shadow organization now), but you can

You are correct, the movie scripts are done long before the TV scripts (sometimes years), which makes it very difficult to include TV plot pieces in the movies...but not impossible.

It’s like...for years you’ve been selling this chocolate cake at your bakery. Everyone loves it, tastes great. Then one day, you stop selling chocolate cake and now you sell vanilla cake...but you still call it chocolate cake.

Seems fine to let recent reviews bomb a game, especially when an update changes the game significantly. But that also means recent reviews can elevate a game back to it’s rightful status, once the game is adjusted/corrected.

This is one of the most interesting sides of big-data collection, when you can make group behavioral predictions based on this type of analysis. I’m curious what kind of results this produces, when compared to individual surveillance. If the NSA could accurately predict events based on this data, could they forego

Meh, people have different interests. Eastern MMOs certainly have some good qualities, but they have problems too. As far as game mechanics and technical ability, Western MMOs are far better. Eastern MMOs have terrible netcode, and a lot of them don’t even let you customize your control scheme. And the character

Does anyone know the money split between Sony and Marvel on this? Is it straight percentage of global box-office profits?

With the supply shortages and shipping issues, I would say the proper course of action is not to wait, but to pre-order BOTH. That at least saves you a place in line. Even if you ordered a Rift today, you won’t get it until August/September.

Just wait until you see what happens when you attach 5 sentries to one of the basketballs in the start area, and kick it into the enemies...

There’s already 2 blue people on that poster. 3 blue people, that’s just too much man!

I’m just hoping they keep it close to the TNG formula. Strong ethical and philosophical discussions balanced with exploration and action. The rebooted movies kill me because they’ve abandoned the ‘thinking’ side of the formula completely. I guess that works for the cinematic format, but I’m hoping they take advantage

The Vive situation is a little better, since the lighthouse stations are ‘dumb’, and all the tracking sensors are in the headset and controllers. Oculus is the inverse, where the tracking sensors are in the IR cameras. So the lighthouse stations just need to be plugged into the closest power outlet, but the Oculus IR

Oculus Touch requires you to buy a second IR camera for the Rift. From what I’ve read, it seems like you can buy as many IR cameras as you want and it will increase tracking accuracy for each additional one. But the Touch will require a minimum of 2.

I got my update late last night...moved from April to July 4-14. Still waiting for shipping info for my HTC Vive pre-order...
