Thank you for serving and for your completely cogent take on what can be described, most complimentary, as a fucking disgrace.

Not to mention, if any other government employee threatened to not work because they disagreed with the patron, there’d be a huge public outcry.

by the same token wouldn’t all 70 police officers scheduled to work a game calling out sick also be a peaceful protest?

Thank you for serving without being a fucking dickhead:)

Don’t forget the “War on Christianity.”

The cognitive dissonance is amazing isn’t it?

You don’t got it. It’s also:

The SC police union has two basic options here:

They share memes about how political correctness is ruining our country, then don’t see the irony when they get upset over this.

exactly right. they are the people who devour and submit to bullshit conservative rhetoric. while those same rhetoricians work our appellate courts (NOT EVEN SILENTLY) to limit/restrict/extinguish the public unions that hand them the organizational power they ABUSE at seemingly every turn.

Also a cop, from the Bay Area, and Santa Clara hires cops from around the Bay Area to work these games. The cops from the area AREN’T PART OF THE UNION for the most part, so for the union to threaten to not work these games makes little sense.

You’re out of touch; this kind of shit has been happening since the dawn of BLM. Cops suddenly think their job is to pick and choose who they protect and, you know, not kill indiscriminately.

This situation also just happened in Minnesota with the Lynx and #BLM. Cops are just delicate snowflakes now.

Nah. Police union stooges are big fucking babies pretty much all across the country.

Frankly, I think not having cops at the game will be a far safer situation for everyone involved.

Turns out cops feeling threatened by a person of color merely sitting there is pretty close to the root of the very problem Kapernick is complaining about.

Really. Peaceful protest is “an environment of harassing behavior” now? What delicate things.

Pretty disrespectful of Kaepernick, especially after Santa Clara PD worked so hard to keep Ray McDonald and Aldon Smith from facing charges.

And these are probably the same people who complain on Facebook about the scourge of academic “safe spaces” and the “pussification” of today’s youth.

Coming from, say, a non-profit trainer, this makes perfect sense. Coming from Whitlock, it’s nothing but condescending smuggery of the highest order. I think that’s the major issue.
