Uhh...they were supposed to be playing it, if those instruments they are holding are any indication. So they interrupted their own performance. Pretty sure they weren’t just out there for decoration.

My understanding is that they were performing so the kneeling actually did interrupt the performance. A bit different from what Kaep, or a football player on ECU on the sideline, would be doing.
