FQA is different than normal QA. There’s a whole rulebook of console standards the FQA teams test against and if it fails the checks (depending on the severity of the check) it’s instantly another resubmission.

Games with online are actually kinda a pain in the ass to get through certification. There’s a lot of little edge-cases that need to be thoroughly vetted first and if any of those throw error messages from the console it’s another resubmission.

The thing is it goes far beyond just the actual analog stick. The controllers themselves seem to have intermittent connection to the console. For context, my couch is about 6-7 feet from my Switch, and there is not a single object between me and the Switch when I play.
